                | Objective:Using mechanomyogram(MMG) to detect the effect of electrical stimulation with different frequencies on muscle function. Methods:Twenty five healthy volunteers were selected. The MMG of muscle contraction among 4 different frequencies(20,50,100 and 1000Hz) of electrical stimulation and from 5% to 20% maximum voluntary contraction(MVC) was compared. The average power value, total energy content and the amplitude were analyzed.Result:MMG waveform analysis diagram revealed that there was a significant correlation between voluntary contraction and electrical stimulation when the frequencies were over 100Hz.On the other hand, the amplitude was significantly decreased with the increasing frequency of electrical stimulation. Conclusion:Electrical stimulations with 100Hz or higher frequencies are more effective on training with the main aim of spasticity inhibition. |
