                | Objective:To explore the effect of early comprehensive rehabilitation on prognosis of patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI).Method:Ninety patients with moderate and/or severe TBI were randomly divided into observation group and control group (n=45 each). Both groups were given traditional treatment. The observation group was given early comprehensive rehabilitation training, cognitive training and hyperbaric oxygen therapy additionally. All patients were assessed with Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE),Fugl-Meyer Acessment (FMA),modified Barthel index (MBI) and Berg Balance Scale (BBS).Results:All scores in both two groups were increased, more signifcicantly in observation group (all P<0.01).The incidence of complications in observation group was significantly lower than in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Early comprehensive rehabilitation on patients with TBI may obviously improve motor function and cognitive function, decrease complication and increase the activities of daily living. |
