| Objective:To explore the curative effects of training using upper limb rehabilitation robot on function of upper limbs in hemiplegic stroke patients.Methods:Forty-six hemiplegic stroke patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group equally. Both groups were treated with basic medication and traditional rehabilitation therapy, and observation group was treated additionally with training using upper limb rehabilitation robot.Brunnstrom grade, upper extremity part of Fugl-meyer Assessment (FMA-UE) and Barthel index (BI) scoring before and after treatment were done. Results:After treatment for 4 weeks, much higher Brunnstrom grades in both groups were demonstrated than pre-treatment (P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between two groups. The scores of FMA-UE and BI after treatment in both groups were significantly higher than pre-treatment (P<0.05),more significantly in observation group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Training using upper limb rehabilitation robot can effectively improve the upper limbs function of stroke patients, and promote the recovery of activities of daily living. |
