Objective:To explore the rehabilitation efficacy of the family management mode in the patients with chronic schizophrenia.Methods:The routine psychiatric medication was used in the two groups.The patients in family group were trained with family life model,and those in control group were given only the daily routine rehabilitation training with the traditional closed management mode.Before and at the end of third,sixth,12th months after treatment,Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS),Social Skills Training (SST) scale,and the ability of daily life (ADL) scale were used for assessment.Results:After treatment for 3 months,the score of the negative symptoms,spirit pathological symptoms and the total score of PANSS,and score of every factor and the total score in the ADL scale of the family group were significantly lower than pretreatment and in the control group (all P<0.05),which showed a declining trend after treatment for 6 and 12 months (all P<0.01).The score of positive symptoms in the PANSS in the family group,and the scores of every factor and total scores in the PANSS in the control group showed no statistically significant difference before and after treatment.After treatment for 3 months,the scores of SST in the family group were obviously increased as compared with pretreatment and in the control group (all P<0.05),which showed an increased trend after treatment for 6 and 12 months (all P<0.01).There was no significant difference before and 6 and 12 months after treatment in the control group.Conclusion:Family management model can effectively improve the social function,improve the self management ability,and reduce recession symptoms in the chronic schizophrenia patients. |
