Objective:To evaluate the effect of PEO model experience on rehabilitation teaching.Methods:Fifty-three students from Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine specialized in rehabilitation therapy were randomly divided into two groups:general group (n=26) and PEO group (n=27),which received ordinary classroom teaching and PEO model experience teaching respectively.After 4h teaching,educational environment was measured according to Canadian Model of Occupational Performance (CMOP) table.Results:Evaluation from students-There were 26 and 25 questionnaires recalled from the general group and the PEO group respectively.As compared to pre-teaching and general group after teaching, each item score in PEO group was greatly improved (P<0.05).Only the score of teaching value was improved in general group (P<0.05).Evaluation from teachers-There were 15 complete copies recalled from the two groups respectively.The scores of the classroom atmosphere,encouraging students to participate in class,independent thinking,and respectable for proposals and suggestions from students in PEO group were significantly higher than in general group (P<0.05).Conclusion:PEO model experience teaching which involves learning style proves enlightening to both students and teachers by providing a meaningful reference of improving professional education and direction of rehabilitation education's developing. |
