Objective: To investigate the nutritional support effect of enteral nutritional suspension for patients with dysphagia after stroke. Methods: Sixty patients with dysphagia after stroke were randomly divided into 2 groups. Observation group (n=30) was given tube feeding of enteral nutritional suspension for 14 days (The Total Protein Fiber and Fructo-oligosaccharide, TPF-FOS) and the self-homogenized diets. The control group (n=30) received homemade homogenate diets for 14 days. The related biochemical criteria and body nutrition indexes were evaluated before and after treatment. Results: The levels of albumin and prealbumin in observation group were significantly increased as compared with pretreatment and control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: TPF-FOS is helpful to improve the nutritional state of the stroke patients. It also can facilitate the recovery of neurological function. |
