EN Abstract:
  Objective: To explore the effect of exercise on physical health in middle aged people through the 8-week exercise intervention of aerobic exercise combined with resistance exercise. Methods: Eighty-nine subjects (male 39, and female 50) aged between 40 and 60 were given an exercise program of aerobic exercise and resistance exercise without diet restrictions, lasting for 8 weeks. Eleven tests were undertaken before and after the exercise intervention. Results: The body fat rate of B groups was decreased obviously (P<0.05). The change of physical quality of objects showed an upward trend. The maximal oxygen consumption of B groups increased obviously (P<0.05). The bone mineral density of B groups showed an upward trend. Conclusion: Exercise contributes to the decrease of body fat rate and the improvement of physical quality, bone mineral density and aerobic capacity in middle aged people.
