Objective: To study the effect of progressive rehabilitation training on upper limb function after breast reconstruction surgery for breast cancer patients. Methods: The patients with breast cancer undergoing breast reconstruction from November 2021 to May 2022 were randomly divided into the test group and the control group. The test group received progressive rehabilitation training, and the control group received routine care. The recovery of upper limb function was evaluated at 1st and 3rd month after operation. Results: Compared with the control group, the shoulder flexion and abduction range of motion in the test group increased significantly at 1st month and 3rd month after operation, and the disability of the arm, shoulder, and hand (DASH) score decreased significantly (P<0.05). There was no surgical incision nonunion, flap necrosis and prosthesis removal in both groups. Conclusion: Progressive rehabilitation training can improve the shoulder mobility of patients with breast cancer undergoing breast reconstruction and the upper limb function, and has good safety. |
