EN Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate the status of ICF-RS function in non-acute inpatients and explore the characteristics of participation function and related demographic factors. Methods: A multi-center cross-sectional study was used to select 297 non-acute patients hospitalized in the rehabilitation departments of 5 hospitals in Guangdong and Fujian provinces from September 2019 to August 2020. The developed ICF-RS APP was used to collect the general data and functional status of the patients. Frequency ratio, rank sum test and ordered multiple Logistic regression were used to analyze the functional characteristics and influencing factors of non-acute inpatients. Results: According to the frequency proportion, the top three categories with the most severe functional impairment were d660 helping others (93.6%), d920 entertainment and leisure (88.2%), and d470 using transportation (68%). Among different disease systems, d470 had the most significant difference in the use of transportation, while d770 had the least difference in intimate relationship. The rank sum test showed that gender, age, marital status, occupational status, income level and clinical diagnosis may be the influencing factors of non-acute inpatients’ participation function (P<0.05). Ordered multiple Logistic regression analysis showed that patients with employment (OR=1.962), male (OR=1.579, OR=1.647), income <5000 yuan (OR=2.054, OR=1.670), and 40-59 years old (OR=1.866) were more likely to participate in functional impairment. Conclusion: In non-acute inpatients, the participation function was affected, and the degree of damage to the nervous system was greater than that of the musculoskeletal system. Emphasis was placed on the effects of male, middle-aged, employed, and lower income on patients’ participation in function.
