Objective: To explore the effect of concept of companionship combined with ICF-CY in undergraduate internship teaching of pediatric rehabilitation therapy. Methods: The experimental control method was used. A total of 62 interns from the Rehabilitation Department of Shenzhen Children’s Hospital were included. They were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The control group and observation group were given the ICF-CY method of teaching, and additionally the observation group received the companionship concept and participated in patients’ rehabilitation therapy and daily care as required. The students’ theoretical test scores, practical ability and satisfaction survey were evaluated. Results: The Mini-CEX scores of the observation group in terms of rehabilitation assessment, communication skills, treatment plan formulation, humanistic care and overall performance were better than those of the control group (P<0.05). The theoretical test scores and satisfaction of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.01,0.05).Conclusion: The teaching method of companionship concept combined with ICF-CY framework is helpful to improve the enthusiasm and practice effect of in-terns in rehabilitation therapy, and improve their post competency. |
