EN Abstract:
Objective: To explore the application effect of scenario-based simulation teaching combined with peer-assisted learning (PAL) model in the internship teaching of the children’s rehabilitation department. Methods: A total of 61 students majoring in rehabilitation therapy who interned at our hospital from August 2023 to December 2024 were selected as research subjects and randomly assigned to either the study group (context simulation teaching based on PAL) with 31 participants or the control group (conventional teaching) with 30 participants. The research group adopted on-site case teaching, while the control group used traditional theoretical lectures. Both groups were evaluated after 8 weeks of intervention. The theoretical and practical operation assessment scores and satisfaction levels of the interns in both groups were compared. Results: The theoretical and practical examination scores of the study group were higher than those of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.01). In the Mini-CEX scale assessment, the interview skills, communication skills, functional assessment and overall clinical ability of the study group students were higher than those of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05,0.01). The satisfaction scores of students in the study group regarding the curriculum’s ability to stimulate learning interest, cultivate active thinking skills, enhance learning efficiency, and strengthen job competency were all significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The PAL-based situati-onal simulation teaching method is conducive to enhancing the cultivation of students’ practical skills, improving the quality of children’s rehabilitation teaching, and has certain promotion value in children’s rehabilitation internship teaching.
