| Objective: To investigate the effect of wearable multi-joint functional electrical stimulation on lower limb motor dysfunction after stroke. Methods: A total of 108 stroke patients with lower limb motor dysfunction admitted to our hospital from 2021.06~2024.06 were selected and divided into two groups with 54 cases in each. The control group was given routine treatment rehabilitation training, and the observation group received additional wearable multi joint linkage functional electrical stimulation therapy. The treatment course was 28 d. The clinical efficacy, including balance function, walking ability, lower limb muscle strength and quality of life, was evaluated and compared between two groups. Results: After treatment, the Berg Balance Scale (BBS) scores, gait parameter values including stride length, step frequency, peak hip flexion, peak knee flexion, muscle strength values of the medial femoris, biceps femoris, tibialis anterior and peroneal longus, the scores of physical function, psychological function, social function and psychological function in the Stroke Quality of Life Scale (SS-QOL) were all higher than those before treatment (P<0.05), and that in the observation group were higher than in the control group (P<0.05). The Timed Standing and Walking Test (TUGT) time of the two groups after treatment was shorter than that before treatment (P<0.05), and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Wearable multi joint linkage functional electrical stimulation has a good intervention effect on lower limb motor dysfunction in stroke patients, which can improve their balance function, walking ability and quality of life, and lower limb muscle strength level. |
