EN Abstract:
Lymphedema is a common complication following the treatment of gynecological malignancies, significantly impairing patients’ limb function, quality of life, and psychological well-being. As a chronic and progressive condition, its management remains a persistent challenge in clinical rehabilitation. Therefore, identifying effective preventive and therapeutic strategies is important for improving patient outcomes. Kinesio taping (KT), a non-invasive and non-pharmacological physical therapy modality, has recently demonstrated promising potential in the management of lymphedema. This paper reviews the current evidence on the application of KT for post-treatment lymphedema in patients with gynecological malignancies. The aim is to provide a new reference for healthcare professionals in designing comprehensive rehabilitation programs for this patient population.
