| Objective: To investigate the application of a new rehabilitation model named rehabilitation nursing "JIA" training in patients with Alzheimers disease in nursing home. Methods: A total of 70 patients with Alzheimers disease in nursing home were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group with 35 cases in each group. The control group received routine rehabilitation nursing intervention of nursing home, and the observation group received rehabilitation nursing "JIA" training additionally. One case in the control group withdrew due to personal reasons. Eventually, there were 35 cases in the observation group and 34 cases in the control group. Mini-mental state examination (MMSE), Alzheimers disease assessment scale cognitive subscale (ADAS-Cog), behavioral pathological assessment of Alzheimers disease (BEHAVE-AD), modified Barthel index (MBI), quality of life-Alzheimers disease (QOL-AD) and Zarit caregiver burden interview (ZBI) were assessed before and 6 months after intervention. Results: After 6 months of intervention, the scores of MMSE, MBI and QOL-AD in both groups were higher than those before the intervention, and the scores of MMSE, MBI and QOL-AD in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05); The scores of ADAS-Cog in both groups were lower than those before the intervention, and the scores of ADAS-Cog in the observation group were lower than in the control group (P<0.05); The scores of BEHAVE-AD and ZBI in the observation group were lower than those before the intervention, and the scores of BEHAVE-AD and ZBI in the observation group were lower than in the control group (P<0.05); There were no statistically significant differences in the scores of BEHAVE-AD and ZBI in the control group before and after the intervention. Conclusion: Rehabilitation nursing "JIA" training can effectively improve the cognitive function, psychiatric behavioral symptoms, acti-vities of daily living, quality of life and caregiver burden of Alzheimers disease patients in nursing homes. It is suitable for promotion and application in nursing homes. |
