EN Abstract:
Objective: To observe the curative effect of scalp acupuncture combined with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation in treating cognitive dysfunction after cerebral infarction. Methods: All 120 patients with cognitive dysfunction after cerebral infarction were divided randomly into control group 1 (group A1) (n=40), control group 2 (group A2) (n=39) and observation group (group B) (n=41). The group A1 was treated with scalp acupuncture, the group A2 was treated with repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation, and the group B was treated with scalp acupuncture combined with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation. The three groups were evaluated with the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and the Mini mental State Examination (MMSE) before and after treatment, and the curative effect was examined. Results: The cognitive ability of the three groups was improved after treatment. The MoCA and MMSE scores after each course of treatment were significantly higher than before treatment, and the group B was more effective than the group A1 and group A2 (P<0.01, 0.05). Conclusion: The scalp acupuncture combined with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation is effective in the treatment of cognitive dysfunction after cerebral infarction, and the operation of this method is simple and safe.
